The happenstance of wallflowers and windflowers that sprout between cracks of structures and streets is joyous - you can't help but grin and admire that tenacity. There's similar overt, floppy optimism when looking at a sunny side up, fried egg matilijia poppy. And, have you noticed the exuberant accessories adorning the subjects in a Velázquez painting like Las Meninas?

There is some kind of resonance for me between those three: the shapes, the floating, the frivolity, and an appealing audacity.
